It’s time to admit self-driving cars aren’t going to happen
A couple caveats for those going apoplectic over the headline: I mean self-driving isn’t going to be a thing A) in our lifetimes and B) with any kind of omnipresent scale. So in terms of the daily lived experience of most people reading this, truly autonomous vehicles just aren’t going to happen. Alex Jones Is Reinstated On X, And David Icke Thinks It’s All a Big Conspiracy
By now you’ll know that Alex Jones has been reinstated to X by Elon Musk after a five year absence. The responses among free speech proponents were mostly positive, but David Icke chimed in to let everyone know that this entire thing is a big conspiracy.
Of course he did. Icke, who is even more of a ‘conspiracy theorist’ than Jones, posted a lengthy tweet basically demonising Elon Musk as a wolf in sheep’s clothing and labelling Jones himself as a controlled ‘Mainstream Alternative Media’ figurehead.
“You are being had, people, but most will never get that,” Icke wrote, claiming that Jones’ reinstatement has been “long planned”.
Icke continued, “Musk could have simply done this long ago, but the ritual had to be played out to both eulogize Musk, the new MAM God, and to put Alex Jones center stage as a symbol of the Mainstream Alternative Media alongside Musk, Carlson, Rogan, Tate, Peterson, Brand, Vlaardingerbroek, and all the rest.”
“They may each have useful things to say about some ‘dots’ but they stand as a collective blockade to the deep levels of the rabbit hole within which their ‘dots’ are mere symptoms, not the cause,” Icke further asserted.
It’s an odd take, given that Icke has been a prominent regular guest on Jones’ show for around 20 years, and been given a platform to say anything he wants, as well as having his own dedicated channel on Jones’ video platform.
Icke’s efforts to out Musk as some kind of evil genius also seems a bit questionable given that he is almost certainly making a living through X and paying for the service. If he believes Musk is so bad, why is Icke paying him a monthly subscription? Surely that would be the first thing you’d stop doing. You don’t need verification on X to use it. You only need it in order to monetise your account.
Just saying, David. Maybe just take the W.
Jones was reinstated following his viral interview with Tucker Carlson earlier in the week. Elon Musk announced he would hold a poll and put it to the people as to whether the Infowars host should return, despite the fact that he previously vowed to never let Jones come back.
The people overwhelmingly decided he should.
